Ben Wiggins was impressive but made a mistake taking a pull after closing to Pollit when he needed to sit on for a while and recover. I think Ganna realised he was unlikely to beat all 5 UAE so settled for trying to get second. Surprised he missed the Vermeersch move though.

I was delighted to see a British rider in contention for the GC win. However, I was disappointed to see virtually no British media reporting on the Tour of Britain.

not just on ITV4, it was live coverage of the stages they had too, the thing everyone complains about not having for other races thesedays, be fascinating to see the viewing figures when they are published next week
