Looks like Pidders is giving this one the swerve. Might be tired after his hour and a half of exercise at the weekend.

That's a shame. I only noticed he was a possible yesterday, in the report about his MTB win.
Quite a few of the big teams have decent rosters.

Does anyone here know where the event cycle parking in Lincoln or Boston is likely to be? And where's useful to leave the car if I "park and pedal" into Lincoln instead of relying on the trains? For Boston, I'd probably park in one of the villages to the south.

Answering myself: there are three park and pedal locations around Lincoln, but apparently the clueless local tourism agency calls them "park and bike" instead, I guess because why would they use the same name as other cities and make it easy for visitors to find? They're listed on https://www.visitlincoln.com/plan-your-visit/travel-information/getting-here/ and I understand we're allowed through some road closures to Burton Waters until the race proper arrives.

There's also mention there of secure cycle storage at a shopping centre (free with ID) and the train station (for £10), but both of those are at the wrong end of the city (and hill!) for the race and https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/tou...’s-guide-lloyd’s-tour-britain-men’s-stage-one says the Walk & Ride shuttle bus won't be running 12:50-15:30 for unknown reasons.

I've seen some mention online that there might be cycle parking at a Rapha-sponsored thing closer to the race start, but I've yet to see anything on the Rapha or council websites about it.

There are some stage timings in a graphic on https://www.visitlincolnshire.com/things-to-do/activities/tour-of-britain/ - the "How to Get Here" link on that page gives instructions for car, bus, train, plane and boat, but not bikes. There's also some info on https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/tourofbritain/men/stageone but again, how to get there by train, bus, car and not bike. 🤦 Frankly, this stage seems a bit of a mess. I hope the race direction is better organised than the host city.

The “here” at the end is probably unnecessary. I’ve no idea what they are up to in any race these days and I’m not convinced their management is either.
