Tour of Britain, Carlisle to Blackpool

Anyone planning on turning out to watch??
It's on Mr6's birthday so we'll be there for the start.
One of my daughters has entered a school competition to try and win one of two places in a children's cycle event planned for before the official start on a short stretch of the route.
Fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breathe. She had to write a "why it should be me" piece and imo she mentioned Bradley Wiggins a little too much lol.
I was more for the "it should be me because I'm the only one in this class who rides my bike further than round the block" approach.
Lets hope the sun shines anyway.

I'm planning on being on the A6 somewhere... possibly at the top of the rise as it passes under Barrock Fell

Looking at the section nr Devils Bridge then poss the finish at Blackpool, if it's not raining (to much) I will be on my motorbike

Daughter didn't win a place in the pre-race cycle. I'm more disappointed than her.
I can't decide where to go to watch -town centre for the start of a few miles out for a better view with less people.
