Yep, I think I'll jump up and down and make a fuss, I mean, I can go see the Tour De France in Yorkshire this year, and the Giro D'Italia in Ireland... Lets all push for the Tour of Beijing to start in Aberdeen...

Looks like they will be doing Fish Hill out of Broadway on the Worcester start day. Now that would be tempting to go and see.

BRITAIN is....''The island containing England, Wales, and Scotland. The name is broadly synonymous with Great Britain, but the longer form is more usual for the political unit.''

obviously the Highlands are too tough to include.............:reading:
I agree it would be excellent to race in the Highlands but I think the issue with going to the nether regions of Scotland is that despite how spectacular they are, the remoteness makes it difficult logistically to move the whole event further south the next day, on into the rest of GB.
In week long stage races there are no rest days so you need to have relatively short and straightforward transfers. On that basis, you might end up with 3 days in Scotland if you started from Inverness.

Joking aside it must be really difficult for Sweetspot to please all the people, all the time. We've been very well catered for at the other end of the country because Devon County Council have stepped up from the start of their reign and said 'We want in, how can we help?'

I'd hate to feel like the Scots by not having them come here now, but I have a feeling Devon would be 'remote' if the race was Scotland, Lake District, North Wales and North Yorkshire based.

Loads of people 'did one' from Liverpool if I remember rightly... Even the statues on Crosby Beach can't bear to look at the place...

Very disappointed that there's no stage up here this year.

Planning on heading down Yorkshore way for a day or so in July, so that'll have to be my "live" Pro racing action for the year.

Lets hope they are saving Scotland for a good route next year, they should be doing the Glenshee and the Lecht climbs..

To be fair, with tdf on Yorkshire, and commonwealth games in Glasgow, it does spread cycling out across the countries

Not here offten enough to argue
Day 3 finishes on the tumble mountain 3miles from my house and its a killer of a climb to finish on. I will be there as im riding the tumble that morning myself with our cycle club.

No Lakes/Cumbria/Lancashire stage? Looks like Knowsley start for me, disappointed in the route this year.
