"The Most Annoying Man In The World."
Hello,

Managed to get a good location on the Newton side of Waddington Fell yesterday for my first try at "action sports" photography, I usually specialise in Landscapes (http://www.definedlight.com) so this was a bit of challenge for me.

Biggest fright for me was when I stood up from a very low crouched position the Peloton was quite literally less than a foot away from my face (unbeknown I tell you) and if you look at one of the shots you can see a Rabobank rider staring down at me, anyways without further ado:-

He needs a devil's outfit!

The main bunch of the peloton is arriving with Team Rabobank working for the yellow jersey

Looks like the climb is getting to one of the riders...

Our very own Mr Rob Hayles!

Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did taking them, the only disadvantage of this photography lark is that you don't actually get to see any of the race, but I really enjoyed the couple of hours up there and will be back next year!

p.s. Sorry for cross posting I didn't know this forum was here!

Heh...

No I was on the downside of Waddington Fell (Newton side), I was near the guy with the bald head wig thingy, I actually spotted myself on the ITV4 broadcast yesterday nearly getting hit by the Peloton.

Saw this on the Guardian website which may be of interest.

No surprises there but it's not easy for an amateur with limited time to find that range of opportunities for shots.

This photo was taken at Cross o Greet not Waddington Fell ,whoever took that bloody great tranny van up was apain ,I rode up the weekend before and decided I was going to take photos from here but it spoiled it ,I did think about ringing his boss to see if he knew where he was.
