Going on a months tour in July so need a Touring Bike...Looking to spend between 300-500...

At that price you may be able to pick up a 2nd hand Dawes Galaxy

Remember you will also need panniers, lights, a lock etc .....

EBC do some reasonable hybrids in that price range that would be suitable for touring.
Or as brains suggest good second hand Galaxy, you can always resell on Ebay for good money if you don't like it. But suggest you arm yourself with the skills & tools necessary to maintain it yourself if you are buying second hand, because LBS often want lots of money for labour as well full RRP for parts.
