Hi Simon,

It was indeed quite a drama and we hope never have to repeat it again, however you are quite right it would be reckless for anyone not to take out any travel insurance when abroad as you just don't know what might happen. It is just a case of finding the right insurance and a company who will deal with you in a professional way. I just hoped our experiences might help you ask the right questions.
