Hello!

I am cycling LEJOG in October in 9 days and have a quick question!

I have 700x26c tyres on my road bike (an entry level Dawes) but am considering switching to 23c. Will the efficiencies of doing this be worth while? I recently crashed on my 26c's due to taking a roundabout too fast in the wet (the day I learned the value of shaving ones legs!) so am weary of going down in size before such a long ride in October!

Basically is the a big difference between 26c and 23c in terms of a) speed and b) comfort on the bike???
