That would give me nightmares!
I must find another site. I wonder what happens if you google 'tat'....

I missed out on this thread as I had to work a late shift tonight. I've got back in and have spent the last half hour crying with laughter (somewhat nervous laughter in places!). I reckon all those "Ovenden Clocks" must have come from the Bradford Exchange! Fabtastic find, the most entertaining thread in ages!
All this reminds me of a Christmas gift my Mother in Law got one year. She is a very keen gardener, and had spent a large amount of money installing a rock water feature, exquisitely tasteful, set in amongst an established "cottage garden" with as many olde charm style plants and perennials as you can think of. It was poetic in its beauty. The secretary from her office bought her an ornament to go in it. It was a two foot high cast resin hedgehog, dressed as a nurse, pushing a wheelbarrow full of baby hedgehogs.
Also, on a related note - you know how a couple of years back you couldn't move for china mugs with lids, designed to keep bugs out when in the garden (just lids, not the sort with a built in tea strainer). Suddenly, they don't exist any more, which is a shame, because my Mum broke the lid on one of hers, and I wanted to get her one for Christmas. bah!
When I went to Rome some years ago, I recall seeing a shop selling holograms of jesus (he moved and cried as you walked past the hologram) in glow-in-the dark neon pink and yellow frames ....Catholic tat is a whole different league of tat though, the C of E simply can't complete.
Is there anything that anyone would want to remember about Watford?!There doesn't seem to be any tourist tat on sale in Watford. Entrepreneurial types please note this gap in the market.

On a more serious note, I was the Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Dewsbury when this was advertised. As the trial was on at the time I had to hold a Community Impact Assessment meeting to deal with the furore!
