Tourmalet or Ventoux

How can i find out which is officially harder.

the reason i ask is because i am running a "Tour de Commute" at work based on TdF rules and once of the categories is the most inspiring/riskiest breakaway (prix de combativite) ... translating into our tour as the person who breaks away from the commute to do the hardest sportive.

i thought one guy would win it doing the Ventoux this year, but another has just told me he has just done the Tourmalet.

so i need the official answer on this.

Well going on the one person I know who has done both, they said earlier this year that the Tourmalet was boring. So I'm going with that being harder.

the guy that has done the Tourmalet told me he also has done Ventoux and the Tourmalet was harder. (although he might just have forgotten the pain)
