Recently I have been putting my bike in the back of my car driving half way to work then cycling the rest. This is now getting to be a pain, taking the wheel off etc etc

I thought of getting a towbar rack, that I could leave on the car permanently, looking on ebay, I found this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-TOWBA..._Cycling_Bags_Panniers_SR&hash=item35b20c877a

It seems way too cheap though, does anyone have experience of this?

I already have a boot rack type one, but wouldn't really fancy having that on may car permanently.

You'd need a lighting board as well obviously. It's cheap because there's not much to it and I doubt it'd be very secure.

If you're willing to spend more and are worried about security, brand etc, I can highly recommend this bike rack. It locks solid on to the tow bar, bikes are well secured (although you may want to use a few bungies in addition) and it comes on and off in seconds.

Just saw this on the web which made me laugh;

I'm thinking of getting the Thule 970, there is one on ebay at the moment about 20 miles from me with a lighting board, so hopefully pick that up for a good price.
