TPT near Spike Island Widnes

Thought I should warn anyone that commutes or rides along the TPT from Fiddlers Ferry towards Spike Island that I had a close call with a group of idiots last night.
They were not very old, but pack mentality.
If you travel that way be forewarned and thanks to the rider who warned me prior to me getting near them

Just a group of teenagers who felt the need to prove that they are big and cleaver.
A rider warned me of the group ahead, as I approached one decided to block the path and raise his fist to hit me, I wasnt prepared to back down so aimed at him and shouted a few choice words.
He took a swing and missed, but if he had of connected I would have been in the water.
I dont usually take that route, but had been down there at the weekend and the trail had been re surfaced and was a nice ride. Shame idiots have to spoil it.......

It's always in the back of my mind when I use the TPT through Stockport commuting in Winter. The plus side is not many teenagers hang about in sub zero temperatures. Never had an isue though

I use that section sometimes so thanks for the heads up. Have you thought about reporting it to the Police? Even if its just a quick call to 101.

I had thought of it, but happened so fast i wouldnt recognise any of them again and by the time i got home it was a bit to after the fact. There was plenty of police in Mersey St when i went past but they were understandably preoccupied.

Please do report it. Even if the police can't do anything about this particular incident they may correlate it to others. It can't harm.
