Tracing someones address....is there a safe/simple/free way to do it?

192 is using out of date information. Three current addresses for a someone who died over two years ago.
You've given the easiest way of doing it though.
If a person is deceased simply Googling the name often comes up with an obituary. No need to look any further.

Doesn't stop 192.com giving wrong results though.
Yes but you don't need to use 192 if you've already established the person is deceased by another route.
192 is useful to confirm or add to information already established.

Situation is.....its our 50th Wedding anniversary in July.
I would like to trace the guy who was my best man.
For a number of reasons we lost contact 20 years ago. He devorced accramoniously so I cant get help there.
I know the town he lives in but no more than that.
I know his age and where he was born etc..
When I google it I get sites saying they can help......if I sign up (why do I not trust them).
Tried facebook.....no luck.
Any suggestions ??

Try multiple search engines, bing, yahoo, etc.

Try including a variety of unique or relevant terms like location, a hobby, school, job or event in the search terms.

Also search in Facebook, LinkedIn, google+ and so on

Pretty sure you’ll find something relevant unless he’s a complete everyman called John smith.

You'd have to narrow it down further than that. I'd say an average of 100,000 names per constituency.
Yes but they’re alphabetical and he has the name - there are only 36 with my first initial and surname in Sheffield and only two with both my initials and just one with my full name - so let’s hope he’s not a Smith.

Try www.pipl.com , you can add filters for country, city and age group.

In between here and there
If you use Google, Search for the name within speech mark's it will only show exact matches.

Or ex-directory. Or no longer has a landline. Or is no longer with us.

Well, yes, those too but I was meaning he could be at one of the five addresses found but not the account holder.
You won't find my wife in BT phone book but she's definitely at my address!
