Track Pump Repair?

Whilst I realise it isn't a bike just wondering if anyone has ever serviced the push on nozzles.

Basically when using the Presta side there is continual air leakage whilst inflating. It has become a good work out trying to inflate a tyre! Doesn't happen on the Shrader side. Admittedly 99.9 % of it's use has been Presta.

Happens on every tyre so not the tyre valves.

The question I suppose is has anyone successfully stripped one down and fixed it or do I accept I have had 13 years out of it and time to buy a new one.

The "O" rings can nearly always be replaced. Often without having to buy the manufactuers own parts.

Failing that, why not a Schrader-Presta adaptor?

If its just the head that's failed you can pick new ones up off the bay of plenty cheap enough.

Thanks both, as I never use the Shrader I may pick the best bits from that and try and repair the Presta head.
