Hi folks,
My good lady wife is disabled and uses a Class 2 (max 4mph, pavements only) mobility scooter to get around. The one she has now can be split into 5 major parts and it then fits rather snugly into the boot of our car (E220 estate) with very little room to spare. Whilst I am able to do this at the moment but after a day of walking it can be a struggle and I'm not getting any younger or stronger so before I do myself an injury I was thinking of buying a trailer to tow the scooter behind the car instead. SWMBO has also mentioned that she wouldn't mind a Class 3 scooter (max 8mph, pavement and road use
) as they come with larger wheels and are better off-tarmac. These don't come apart and will definitely NOT fit in the car and I refuse to drive around in a van (no offence @Drago). If we end up with the faster/bigger scooter I'd also want to be able to get my bike on the trailer 'cos there's no way I'm walking at 8mph
I've had a look online but don't see anything suitable that costs less than the car so figured I'd ask if anyone here has any experience on the subject they'd like to share with me?
TIA
