Not knocking the idea, just exploring the po'tent'ials.

Once Miss tdr1nka is able to ride independently and I have more room available, a trailer I can use both on the 'bent trike and the hack will either be built or purchased.

It's been around for eighty years or more as a concept, I've seen old plans for a home made wooden version. That one seems well executed but what we really need to know is whether or not it would withstand the nooky test.

Ah yes, the bump & grind of daily use!

Am I missing something from the pictures? They say that it turns into a cot but the pic of the tent interior shows no cot.

The cot is below the central part of the tent floor. You've basically got a cot with a tent on top of it.

Problems:
The edges of the tent floor are pretty much unsupported, so you couldn't put much in the way of gear there. Where do you stash your gear whilst you are asleep? It would have to be outside the tent. You'd have problems with the wind getting under the tent and trying to blow it away. It wouldn't happen whilst you were in it, but the tent could get trashed a lot easier than one that was pegged to the ground.

What a pointless idea.
What does it give you that an ordinary tent carried in a BOB Ibex doesn't, apart from...
A compromised tent design,
The inability to take a lighter tent if there's only one of you,
The inability to fetch a crate of beer from the supermarket after you've set up your tent?
