..is what criminal statute you think I may broken.
I have never suggested you have broken any laws

Think if you read thids thread that it is not me accusing anyone of any crime.

I think the authorities should be allowed to taser people who drive while using a mobile phone. If that experiment is successful (success being measured by how much officers enjoy lighting up muppets) it could perhaps be rolled out to trains, cinemas, restaurants, etc.

Couldn't argue with that, drago. You missed a trick here. Had you stood for parliament you would now be Prime Minister!

Just checked Snopes (had to google it first). Can't find it. I was told it c.1994/1995ish from a gent who reckoned he'd witnessed it. Either way, its funny.

I must stress that I've never witnessed this myself, and don't own a toy mobile phone!

I bet if you could go back to the person who told it to you, he'd say (if he remembered) "No, I didn't see it, but I have a friend who was actually there" And that friend would say "no, I wasn't there but my friend was ...."

Well, whether that's true or not, in the early days of mobile phones (before call waiting and when they were still pretty uncommon), I was in a queue for a cinema with a man having a very animated conversation on his phone when ... it rang.
