Well, write it down boy ......
I once went from my home station to Wrexham. I only wanted a single as I intended cycling back. When buying the ticket, it was cheaper to buy a return and the return part was valid for a month, so a couple of weeks later I cycled to Wrexham and caught the train home for free! How does that work?

Reflects the cost of running a train. You might only want to go one way, but the train has no choice; it has to return.

Amtrak get slammed a lot by 'Merkins... but I've found them surprisingly good.

There's a couple of long distance US train trips I'd love to do. But I've only just got Mr R to agree we'll do some of the Indian rail trips I've been lusting after. Getting him to agree to the US might take some time.
There's a whole lot of empty over here, but a few routes are quite unforgettable.

After a bit of split ticket juggling, I've managed to trim a £52 fare to Bristol down to £40. A £12 saving was worth the five minutes of split juggling. I don't even have to get off the one train needed for the journey.
