Trainer road with unbranded turbo?

Hi.

I am interested in using Trainer Road but although I have speed, HRM and cadence sensors (so I can use virtual power) I have an unbranded cheapo magnetic trainer off eBay.

Has anybody used TR with an unsupported trainer ? Wouldn't it be ok if I selected a similar trainer based on the idea that it would have a similar power profile? Not ideal but workable.

Thanks for your interest! So there's no name on the trainer? I ask because we support a wide range of them and I'd be surprised if we didn't already support it. That said, if we don't and it has a similar power-to-speed ratio, it'll work, but like you said probably not ideal. :/
