You don’t see many of these even online so I thought I’d add mine to the small pool out there in the uk. If you have one feel free to add it on here.

It’s a bit of a Swiss army bike that changes every few months…

Currently set up with a sturmey archer s2 kick shift hub and a cheap Chinese fork with TRP disc brake for a hilly ride on Sunday. It will be this front ends first outing other than a quick test ride.
I do hope it doesn’t kill me, it would be nice to give this bike some extra use this winter. It’s funny the risk we are prepared to take, there is no way I would get on an airplane that had any parts fitted to it described as cheap Chinese carbon yet I’m ok with 7000 ft of Yorkshire dales climbing and descending lol 😂

Never tried a 2 speed kick shift so I am looking forward to a ride report! My single-speeder the mighty Charge Plug is sporting a SA 3 speed at the moment

I do like a charge plug. I bought one just before the Covid lockdown but unfortunately it was too small. I’d be interested in seeing yours with the 3 speed hub and how are you finding it?

I will report back on Sundays ride, it will be interesting as it’s been 4 years but this mornings test ride brought back memories of the what gear am in? kind. I had also forgotten about a bit of brake surface damage caused by a pothole which makes it feel like a warped disc while braking. I’ll have to try and find a replacement rim.
That might be why it’s been 4 years since I last used it lol

Here's my Plug with 3 speed - I always liked this bike and with the 3 speed I love it, I uprated the saddle to a Brooks Flyer and I fitted an old Hope crankset that I had spare as I like 165mm cranks. I run Schwalbe Marathon plus tyres and the Brooks saddle just softens the ride.

I ride mainly 2nd gear (34/16) which suits me unless the road heads downwards ot there's a tailwind then 3rd gear, I could grind up most of my local hills as a SS but 1st just makes it that bit easier on my 68 year old knees and hips (all original parts)

That looks really neat. The shifter is way nicer than the older versions. Does it still use the little shift chain to pull the rod in the hub? Its hard to tell with that neat cover on…
