Agreed, I often find self censorship is the best form. We all have different tastes. My particular dislikes are soaps and X factor!

I honestly hadn't thought it was a dig at me, soaps and X factor aren't allowed on the TV in our house, so I'm with you on that one as well. No, I think it's just that I thought Frankie had some real potential and I'd tuned in eagerly, so I latched onto this thread eagerly. I couldn't stop thinking that he'd have lambasted someone else for producing that sort of garbage. I'm just hoping he stops reading his own press and focuses on being funny rather than shocking.

Why is it that Bernard Manning and Chubby Brown aren't allowed on tv with their particular brand of humour but Boyle can tell jokes about disabled kids and sexual assault?

If you don't like Frankie don't watch him seems to be the answer, so surely it should be the same rule for all?

I am not known for liking modern comedy .And i do not like cheap gags at the expense of the disabled .

But Jordan is a different matter ,A well known football manager threw an hairdryer at her in a half time team talk she melted .

Bernard Manning isn't allowed on TV because he's dead.

Have you ever heard of one of tv's favourite subjects - repeats?

Also when he was on The Comedians he toned down his act, otherwise he wouldn't have been allowed on.

I once went on a stag do to his club in the eighties, and his act then was quite different to his act on The Comedians, mind you it was that bad I ended up in the snooker room when he came on for his second act.

I've just been playing catch up on 4OD and I have to say its good stuff.

Between this and Peep Show channel 4 have the two funniest and most cringeworthy (in a good way) comedy shows on telly at the moment.
