Trans x ahead stem on Steel Steerer

Just purchased a Trans X ahead stem to go on steel steerer and suddenly wondered if I need to grease the steerer or to use CopperEase ?

Not sure if the Trans x is aluminium ?

If I don't grease or put copperease on will they fuse together ?

No don't grease it, the idea is the stem grips the steerer, the last thing you want is it slipping. You could use Copperease to stop any corrosion issues, but I've used a similar set up (steel steerer and aluminium stem) for years with no copperease and no issues.
