I thought this was about watching Jeremy Kyle when I saw the title!

I remember seeing a bloke knocking his girl about one Saturday night in the late eighties, a few of us went over and intervened until it ended up with the Police turning up.

After they had a word with the couple for about five minutes it ended up with them walking off together all lovey dovey.

This reminds me of a council estate not so far away.

What did he used to do to you?

Not sure if your being sarcastic, attempting a 'funny' or have genuinely misinterpreted me...

I shall not go into specifics; suffice to say it was a pretty 5h1tty time and resulted in a loss of contact with my entire family for the whole period. Not best. Things are sorted now, but SHE was pretty 'good' at what she was doing and made me feel like crap.

Edit : spelling.... Again...

Just to say that class and economic status have very little do with domestic violence.

I'm not sure, dealing with domestic abuse is part of my job and I'm fairly certain I see more domestic abuse in white, middle class, professional types.

and will recognise it as domestic abuse rather than part of their everyday lives....

Money helps as well , I know a lady who walked out on her abusive partner with nothing , ended up in one of those homeless type places full of junkies .
