White bar tape is THE most important prerequisite.

White bar tape is a ball ache. It is the axis of all evil and should be banished to the lower levels of hell for its crime to look beautiful till you use it and then stress over getting it clean and pretty again!!! I changed mine to blue lol

I like white bar tape, black however is the axis of evil especially on a black bike ...that said I am not one to stress about it being a little grubby (not that I have an issue with the white fizik 3mm stuff)

You just have issues with black bikes My Surly is all black, and I love it.
