Trek 5000

I've been looking @ getting a new bike & the Trek 5000 looks a good buy @ 1K has anybody got 1 & how good are they or could anybody recommend anything better in the same price bracket.

Better and more exclusive than any Trek for the same money.

The trek is a quality frame.
I looked at it to as a second bike

I've never been a Trek fan although they are good bikes but Steve has highlighted an outstanding offer with the Planet X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
