Bought one at the end of December and absolutely love it, can't recommend it highly enough tbh, and you can get it in red!! :-)

I road tested the best part of a dozen bikes before I settled on my roadie (Scott, Trek, Bianchi, Colagno, Cannondale, a couple of Giants before I settled on it)

What sold it for me with the Giant was the ride of, it was so comfortable for my frame, and the groupset was slick (105). One of the Scotts was a full carbon, and I really did like it, but it was just outside the budget

Have you considered the brand new Trek Domane 2.3 http://roadcyclinguk.com/news/gear-news/trek-domane-2-3-first-look-2301.html
I know its an extra £200 but if you can afford it (or you may get a deal??), same 105 grou[set etc & a brand new system that looks really brilliant & i can imagine other companies following suit with similar designs very soon....thought it would be worth a look anyway.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

I like the look of Trek Madones but read somewhere they are not that great to ride, compared to the likes of Cannondale and Spesh. Interested to see how this thread pans out. Guy from my club has a fairly new Domane and it is a thing of beauty.

I would rather have a CAAD Cannondale in that price range myself due to the ride quality.

Odd you should say that guys, I test rode a Trek Madone 3-4 years ago, I also tested many other bikes. Of all of the bikes the one I liked least was the Trek Madone (I hated it), the one I liked most and the one I bought, was a Cannondale CAAD9.

But this means nothing in the grand scheme of things, I just didn't like it, subjective opinion.
