Trek Madone Question.

I am just looking at the Trek Madone 2.1 and 2.3 on evan's web site, as they do a compare bike list.

Having just clicked on both the 2.1 Madone and the 2.3 Madone's the spec is the same yet one is dearer than the other..
Can anyone tell me what the difference is?

Yep - a quick compare on the Trek site shows the upgrades for the 2.3 over the 2.1 are

Upgrades from Madone 2.1

• Bontrager Race TLR wheelset
• Shimano 105 brakes

Well as the bikes stand the 2.1 is a 2014 while the 2.3 is a 2013 (this years model) with only about €50 or £40 price difference. The exchange rate as it is makes the 2.3 about £950.. a good price.
As for colour I like both the green 2.3 and the black 2.1

Think you've answered your own question here! If you can get the 2013 model with a colour and spec you are happy with, then go for it!

Personally I probably would get the higher model for the wheels. Bit better wheels make a can make a big difference.

Been to a Specialized dealer and he offered me a Specialized Allez Comp which I can see in there 2014 Specialized catalogue (Spanish) but looked on evans and its not listed.. this model has Shimano 105 stuff.
Anyone know anything about what model that would be in the UK?

I couldn't see an Allez Comp in my lbs ( a specialized dealer) The Allez Race has 105 kit, does this look like it?

That looks about it but I dont think it has the same spec as the Trek 2.3. nice looking bike all the same.
