I saw a great bike in my LBS the other day on discount but sadly not in my size (L).
It was a Scott Sub Comfort 20 with Shimano 8 speed hub gears, Nexus I think.
It was exactly the kind of bike I am looking for with its relaxed riding position and built in panniers and dynamo lights.
Also looked great.

Problem is, it appears to be the 2014 model and later models come with 'normal' derailleur gears which I want to move away from for maintenance reasons.
Are there alternatives out there with hub gearing that don't totally break the bank?

Here is the one I saw in my LBS for reference:-

I looked at the Cube bikes in my Tredz store as I live in Swansea. Nice bikes but so heavy.
Went for the Specialized Roll Elite instead as fell in love with it as soon as I sat on it.
