It's getting to be one of those weeks ....
Plans change all the time in my line of work, it's part of the deal when providing high-level customer service.
So Tues found me travelling to Bristol for a 'Big Announcement' (this needs a seperate thread when I'm ready for it) followed by a drive to Lille IIRC 350 miles or so that day, late arrival at the hotel but at least an 11 am start the next day.... which is delayed due to mechanical problems, it'll be 2pm, then, 3 pm, then parts are travelling and will be available for 5pm .... but, we have a 4 hour drive to the next hotel, so we leave at 5, late arrival and dinner then early to bed for a 10 am start at the next trial.
So, we get in the car in the morning and recieve a phone call telling us that due to electrical problems, we will be delayed until 3pm ....:cursing:
Tomorrow we have a 2 hour meeting and then 7 hours drive home from mid France.
It was my son's 13th Birthday yesterday.
C'est la vie

I feel you!!
I have a name for it as well: it's called "High Resistance" followed by the period of time that it's actually happening.. It looks like you are having indeed a High Resistance Week.. No good! I think the best way to get through it is to surrender and smile. It's nearly over!!! :hugs:

My defence against weeks like that is to just keep telling myself life will go back to normal next week.

Sometimes does, sometimes doesn't but that doesn't matter.

Well ... we got there for 3pm, were ushered into a room containing our competitors who were running trials after us and sat there until about 4.30 when we got to the line, we were back at the hotel for 6. My life's just drifting away .....

today was meant to be my first day back this week after illness
got up, went to the docs for a blood test... last time i nearly fainted afterwards. this time i took something to nibble afterwards and took it slowly. sat in the waiting room afterwards and my temperature rocketed and pulse went up... felt very ill... ran to the loo and threw up.
as i'd fasted for 12 hours, wasn't much to bring back, but my body tried. the doc was caring, said "does this happen after every blood test?" i could't answer as i was puking. she then closed the toilet door and left me there.

went home.

You do so much travelling, FF, I envy you! Many of your posts revolve around travel and all along I'm thinking 'lucky bugger, I'd love to do that'.

Cheers!
Yep, I still miss it. We used to take a 20min boat ride from Landskrona straight across the Oresund into Nyhamn for lunch ... perfect!
Nyhavn, I think you'll find. ;):giggle: I lived in the 71 Nyhavn for about 6 months in the late 1990s
