Triban 3a or Trek 2013 1.1

Getting back into cycling after 25 years!

Was about to buy a Triban 3a (white one)

Then I saw last years Trek 1.1 here for £330

Is the Trek a better buy at that price?

They seem to be much of a muchness looking at the specs. The choice will be down to whether you want a triple chainset (the Triban) or a compact double (the Trek).

The triple would give slightly lower bottom end gearing which would be useful if you live in a hilly area.

Edit: The Trek will probably have the better wheels of the two.

Hello I am totally new to road riding, I recently purchased the Triban 3a .. More than impressed with its performance,and build quality . If there is a decathlon near you I strongly recommend calling in and having a test ride on the bike .. It may sway you ??
