I'm after a flat bar roadie for not a lot of money for fast hops to work and longer daily rides my heavy Ute and folders can do but with their own bits of compromises. I rate Decathlon VFM bikes

The one consistent niggle in reviews is the gearing seema a weak poiwand they report thep prone to chain slip, jumping and unshipping the chain on rougher roads.
I had an old Triban 1 roadie and quite liked that

Does anyone have one and an opinion on this as being an inexperienced cyclist myth or fixable problem for a half decent fettler. Also what is a comfortable daily distance one could do on one with the usual pedal and saddle personalisation.

TIA

Dont know about chains slipping and weak gears but i see a lot of people on them around London where i work. Quite a lot of people commute on them as well as use them while making deliveroo deliveries so they cant be that bad. Good value for money
