I've seen a fair few in my time and enjoyed most of them, but today I've seen an advert for an act that must be scraping the barrel.

I shoot ye not, today I saw an advert for a Bernard Manning tribute act.

Whilst I'd sooner see the real thing than a tribute (other than Manning, obvs!) I need to accept that I won't see Queen or Pink Floyd again. A tribute act is better than nothing, I suppose.

It did happen, and he was a legend in his time.
Not acceptable in the mamby pamby world we live in now, I agree.
A perfect place where everyone smiles and kisses each other and bad behaviour of any kind is frowned upon and put into a nice fluffy box.

Mate, if your gonna compare Rik Manually with Bernard Manning then I think we're done. Manning was one of the things that alternative comedy was reacting against. They certainly weren't fellow travelers.

I once saw a Derek and Clive tribute act. Made Bernard Manning look like The Pope.
