Trikes on planes

Hi
anyone transported trikes overseas by air?
Looking at a tour of the USA and wondered about possible costs etc.

Don't know about trikes but I do know of three men from Edinburgh who took their Nazca Fuegos to Canada and cycled across it and also a couple who took a Nazca Quetzal recumbent tandem and did the same this year.

The very helpful and all-round good guy David Gardner at LaidBack bikes would be the best to ask - and he might even know how they did it !
