probably out cycling
Having been knocked down by a car* on two occasions, and knocked off my bike once, in Bromley High Street, I fully understand your reticence.

*not the same one obviously.

Ooof blimey, sorry to hear that, hope you bike not damaged, and that justice was served. That is a fully justified Bromely aversion. I just had to drive there, I've not crashed into anyone yet thankfully, at times I wished I was moving and thereby able to crash into something.

I work in Bromley one day a week, to rest my legs and to get home early.

Marvellous place. The council hates cyclists, though.

Ahem, *shuffles awkwardly*, some of my best friends are from Bromley......but you're right, the potholes, no potcraters, are bad enough in a car! Bromley is simply a means to get out your way, a gateway to Kent (not a typo^_^)

Blimey, you travel a lot don't you FF? I've done one two-weeker this year, next one will be in June.

Every week another country or two ... usually back for weekends though .... rarely work with any customers in the UK, all is export.

Home at last :-)

I think, if you were to do a search, that that point has been made somewhere in one of the many relevant threads.
I'll get to it after I read a thread about a runner not wearing lights and people debating where the responsibility lies. I'm interested because that thread hasn't even been done before either.

Spent about 3 years doing that all across Europe (mostly Eastern). Spent half the weekends over 4 months in Moscow.

Hard work but I do kind of miss it now.
I have to say that in the whole I like it too, it's just too intense right now and I'm not getting any younger. But I would miss it if I changed to a lab based job that's for sure.

Visiting Alexandria soon to work with a new customer, a new challenge in a new location. My fave kind of work.

One problem I used to have was remembering which country I was in (or had come back from) sometimes, getting to immigration at LHR and being asked where I'd in flown from stumped me more than once. I gave up trying to learn more than how to order a beer in the local lingo....

Glad I got the chance to do it in my 30s.

You've got me beat. I get to stay 1-2 weeks everywhere I go.

Enjoy Alexandria. Our customers in Cairo have told me it is very lovely indeed. Mind, it doesn't have to do much to beat 6th of October city...
