Tiagra @ £59
105 @ £100
Ultegra @ £167 (Evans) or £90 (Rose.de)

Never bought from Germany so leaning towards the 105.
Is it worth the extra £40 above the Tiagra?
Any thoughts?

I bought 2 Tiagra triples 10 speed from Germany for £35 each , No difference in performance to the Ultegra it replaced , I think the small and middle rings are the same on both.
The Tiagra big ring actually had less wear at 10000 miles than the Ultegra but that might of been because I ran the chain longer than I should on the Ultegra .

The Tiagra from Germany is dearer than from Chain Reaction now

Personally, I'd go square taper (more reliable/longer lasting than modern external BBs) and either TA or Stronglight. You get a much greater possible range than any of the mentioned options.

I was thinking along those lines. I put a Shimano square taper BB and one of THESE Stronglight Impact triples on my Cannondale. It is a much more practical bike for me on our steep local hills with a 48/36/28 chainset instead of the original 53/39.
