It did cross my mind that he might have been trying a distraction robbery. He'd have been disappointed as the Doris had just beaten him to it on the wallet front and my phone wasn't as nice as his. I don't think the Omega bouncers were going to get involved beyond a call to plod.

It's a view of a certain type of cyclist that we'll all have experienced at some point. Riding a bike doesn't make an unpleasant person become pleasant. Everyone's different.

Some while ago I was looking wistfully at cameras in a shop window, no way I could afford such luxury, but I still got insulted by a passer-by for being a rich git.. I don't think they were after my money tho', it was just a kind of hobby they had.

I think you was rather restrained, after a short while I would of lost my temper and whilst there was good crowd around I would of laid into him. You gave him his chance, There would of been plenty of witnesses and cameras to see the provocation. Mental illness or not he would of got it. These fu** wits deserve what they get.

What was your wife's reaction to all this?

Thanks for asking. She was pretty upset. She's an east Lahndan girl, so I think she was most worried about weapons making an appearance. That was my only real fear as well. Unless he "knew kung foo", he wasn't going to get anything out of a fist fight and screaming at me just wasn't going to work. Although the street was practically deserted, there were enough witnesses in the shops to call it as it happened if plod were going to get involved. He just made a bit of a c**k of himself.

I don't think he was homeless, drugged up or mentally ill. He certainly hadn't been drinking. If I had to pick a 'type', I'd go for drop-out media student who hides around the corner from an anti-capitalist protest just so he can tweet that he was there. Imagine the love child of Nathan Barley and Rik from the Young Ones and you're most of the way there.
