Funny that when a cyclist behaves like a moron then it's all "Oooh err aren't they fun"
The truth is that these two cretins give cyclists a bad name as do the posts above that condone their prank.
Small wonder that cyclists are treated with such contempt.
These two guys are morons, I'm pretty sure they also carry cameras around with them to show how bad drivers are
and then put them on you tube.

Depends, relative to the truck or to the ground?

Relative to the truck the differential would be too low for a helmet to be needed, relative to the ground far to fast for a helmet to be any use.

I think it's fair to say they knew the risk they were taking. And also the truck driver was obviously under instruction from them, so it's a bit different to drafting random vehicles even if you can't see potholes coming.

Fair play to them, I saw the video last week and I found it very entertaining. I wouldn't have the nuts to do it but I like that there are people who do!

When you get down off your high chihuahua of self righteousness ask yourself who is more likely to to tailgate trucks, young cyclists or young newly qualified drivers.
Furthermore, identify the number of locations where cyclists can draft co-operating trucks, you didn't think that it was a spontaneous event did you?, in this country at those speeds whilst not being on a motorway and I think you'll find that you're squandering electrons on a pointless crusade.

Cyclists are treated with contempt by bullies basically. The same kind that bully other minorities and people who aren't the same as them.

Setting a bad example, leave off will ya. Are all car drivers judged by other bad car drivers or all beach goers judged by the ones that leave their litter around.

Is their stunt foolhardy, probably. Should we condemn it or admire their skill: Probably. The world is a complex place and sometimes your response to something needs to be complex. Admiring their skill and bravado is not the same as promoting it. As for the rest, you need to stop worrying about the actions of cyclists and focus more on the actions of others too them. Excusiasts irritate me as much as the bullies.
