My point was more a questioning clarification. My recollections of reading the various road acts is that it is actually illegal to not use orange lights in certain ways - to indicate, hazard warning, that you are being towed on certain roads, some limited utilities to use as hazard warning, certain motorised mobility vehicles driving on dual carriageways etc etc. My recollections may be wrong though.

Im impressed with these.

A friend at my cycle club has one - I thought it was very annoying, after being stuck behind him with it on - very bright!
