My next TT that was scheduled for a week on Saturday was abruptly cancelled by the UCI after a dispute about the insurance… real bummer as it‘s one of my favourite 25km TT routes that i tend to go quite well on.
So i had a look around for another event that weekend as i didn‘t want the legs to go to waste and some how signed up for a “lumpy audax“ 🫣 so have been changing my training a bit over the last 2wks and now getting things ready for a longer than usual TT effort😂
My wife knows i have an event and she knows it‘s local (both the TT and the audax are) but i guess she‘ll be expecting me back a bit earlier than reality, i may have to let her know.
Just planning the food and required minimum gear to carry with me for the event. Adding things to a bike for an event is the opposite to what I’m normally used to… usually it‘s strip it down and get the electrical tape out to cover any holes.
I‘m going to do my best to finish even if my legs fall off 💪
