What lighting systems do you people take/recommend for Audax? Please mention distance and time of year, as I assume no-one carries more lighting power than they are likely to need.

For anything under 400km I just use a USB front and rear, possibly carrying a small spare rear light, as long as it's a daytime audax.
Once onto a 400km I use 2 x Smart rear lights running AAA lithium batteries. They will do 24 hours (left flashing) and a full night (right static). Front-wise on the 400 I did last weekend I tried Cateye USB lights and needed three (2 x 900, 1 x 1100) although I'd probably have been OK with two (1100 and 900).
Previously I've used 2 x Cateye Smart front lights with AA lithium batteries and they've been fine for a full night's ride.

I use a dynohub partly because it is just as good for one night as for 10!
