hi
collected a nice little spike in my tyre, it is the bontrager gunnison pro xr tubeless ready, the tyre sealant dried out. i was gonna fit a regular patch on the inside, but as i sanded it a little some kind of a light cord already coming off the inner surface. how can i patch a tyre like this? i don't think the patch will stick. use fresh tyre sealant? it is a bit of a stupid design having the cords that shallow.

Personally tyreboot and top up with fresh sealant.

I had a brand new gravel bike tyre that p'tured when I got it home, I topped up the Peaty' sealant and it sealed instantly but opened up a couple of miles away from the home. This happened several times and I was thinking about a tyre boot but thought I'd try Orange Seal Regular after reading reviews. The Orange Seal sealed instantly too but stayed sealed on various terrains for the life of the tyre. Depending the size of the hole, its maybe worth a change of sealant. If its too big as above tyreboot and fresh sealant.

the patch didn't work, but i topped it up with fresh sealant (well i had automotive puncture sealant what actually expired, but still liquid) spun the wheel and that sealed it up. if this would not hold i have access to automotive vulcanizer and patches, will give that a go. 3mm wired mushroom type plug for instance
