In some senses I've been lucky: my best friend's Mother's 'mask' slipped when dementia hit and started letting some horrific comments fly. Despite having had a reputation as an uncompromising maths teacher, Mum's mellowed in recent years.

She's also asked after one of my daughters by the correct name rather than that of her niece which has made mind up as to whether to bring her next time.

Evening all.
Actually rode a bike this evening! It could become a habit! Nice gentle ride with the family. All 4 of us very seldom happens now. It was great! Both kids way faster than their cancerous old dad. Wife on ebike so that doesn't count.
Reported a group of 4 absolute tools on illegal ebikes for stealing a cycle stand from a pub carpark and carrying it two miles down the track. I asked the politely to replace said rack and pointed out that there was cctv in the pub car park as well as at the mouths of two tunnels (4x cams) through which they passed. Asked the culprit about his ebike and whether it was pedal assist and was just about to photograph it when he took off post haste.
Oh well. Reported online. Done my duty for the day. Strangely I felt very calm throughout and not my usual worked up self in such confrontations. Must be a most excellent combination of prescription pharmaceuticals that I'm on 🤪
