Bit overcast this morning, been some rain overnight.
Today's excitement is collecting car from service and MOT and delivering birthday present to BiL.

Went for a quick solo ride round the lanes after work yesterday so had to get some apple based rehydration in afterwards (also one of my 5 a day so I'm told). Slept well as a result.

Another day WFH, not much point spending all that time going into the office when most people are away sunning themselves: expecting a biggish delivery of some stuff anyway so need to be around. Strifey has got the gardening bloke/handymen round to do her bidding for the day so I'll leave her to that. Coffee #1 on the go...

Back is killing me but have to cut grass so I can capitalise on tomorrow's forecast and go for a decent pedal.
Beans is filthy. Dunno where he's been and he won't tell me. I said 'you can take the cat out of the council estate but you can't take the council estate out...'

Had coffee. Might have another 3.

Rather grey here. Just finishing second coffee then it will be taking the doggy dynamo out for some exercise. At some point I need to do some myself.

Five guests have left, four others arriving tonight, so a quick turnaround of laundry & cleaning. Annoyingly the sun has boogered off and there's no a breath of wind, so the drying is going to be a challenge...

Later might catch up with a CCer who's passing through Die, pick up some Amazon stuff from a collection point (reckon they didn't try to find my place yesterday), and a veggie meal to buy stuff for & cook for the new (musical) guests.

Quite looking forward to Sunday when I'll have the prospect of 2½ weeks of solitude before the return to Devon... I love having guests, but also enjoy non-guest downtime to do as I please.

Morning all.

Back at work after a number of days annual leave either side of the weekend. Depressing.
Feeling a tad pee'd off with daughter who has suspected autism but has yet to make arrangements with educational psychologist assessment at uni to access the help she requires. I asked her to do one thing yesterday that is not yet to be done, and now somehow I'm the bad guy! Told her I'd contact them on her behalf, but no, that'd be even worse. Can't win.
I'm actually feeling better in work than I feel when I'm at home. May bring in sleeping bag tomorrow.

Now, coffee beckons. Lots of it!

Coffee, of course, flows in similar portions.

Vince, you are a winner, yes, Café Maelmin in Milfield (I bet they do a decent chicken dinner). Sadly, they come from a time before gluten intolerance so it's a solo obsession but one that takes me back to my childhood.

Currently in agony, pulled my hamstring and now my back is killing me due to limping about. I doubt three hours in a car plus another couple on a plane has helped either.

Afternoon folks. Long wkend finished and all cleaned up etc. OH back at work with new employer and scaffolders just left so builders will start tomorrow. Going for a run later as long as it stays dry.
