Tunnel to close for 12 months

Anyone who uses the pedestrian tunnel under the tyne will have some disruption

I use this tunnel as part of my 20 mile loops runs, but the last time I used the free shuttle service, my bike almost fell off the trailer they used, so I'll avoid it

Push on a little further and get the ferry.

A same as the lifts have surprisingly been in good order.

However, I've had no problems with using the shuttle
