And when did we start pronouncing kissed as kist instead of kiss-sed, and knight as nite instead keniget?

What do you do, that you hear turquoise a lot? I can't remember the last time I heard some say it, and I've only heard it rhyming with poise.

I’ve heard it on the wireless quite a few times. Always sounded a bit poncy... Turquwaaaaaz..

I used to be printer, many moons ago, and worked with Pantone swatches.
