Ok l know this isn't strictly a new thread, more of an update and l promise not to keep going on about this bike but l just wanted to post some photos of the finished bike. Hope you like it as much as l do !
Oops , l got carried away and posted the photos twice I see what you mean about clamping the top tube the seat post is a Campy. alloy one so will do that in future, thanks for the advice. Now l just have to find some really nice pedals but not sure what is appropriate, any ideas Mr. B ?Bit of a stunner that me old mate

Me too, the stonemasons here can still do this clever stuff with random shaped stones.Slightly off topic, but I do like the wall in photo 4!
