Anyone else still keep their decorations/lights up for the traditional period. I've just been over the shops and upon returning noticed that all the houses that had them up at the start of December have taken them down now leaving us as the only house with anything (visible) still up.

Once I'd finished burying Santa's corpse under the patio I tipped the decorations down.

Daughter in law puts them up beginning of December takes them down 27th December.

Ours went up 17th December and came down 30th December (long enough for me, but the wife wanted them up a week earlier)

Inviting bad luck in by taking them down too early. Leave them up too long and they're to stay up all year.
Quite right, 'British Tradition' and all that though strangely I'm more European it seems these days but for me it's the 12 days of Christmas, not the month of December celebrations'

The festivities continue chez raleighnut, even managed to cop a couple of big bags (450g) of KP Dry Roasted Peanuts for £1.50 (sell by date is in April)
