I'm usually quite keen on the old 12 day thing, and certainly can't go into a new year without the decorations up. This year's slightly different but it's more operational reasons which is I shouldn't be back at work until the 8th but I'm heading to London tomorrow for a training event leaving Mrs Slick on her Jack for a couple of days and she won't waste an opportunity to return the house to normal conditions.

Our LED twig tree has been unplugged :okay:
Went for a walk tonight and there’s still lots of houses all lit up inside and out
Fed up looking at it all.

Back to work for me tomorrow, as janitor at a care home. It was my job the week before Christmas to untangle all the decorations (about 7 large bin-bags full of them) and decorate 3 lounges plus several corridors. On top of that there were 3 fully decorated trees and several smaller ones without the full lights/baubles/tinsel. Sometime this week I need to find time to take them all back down again, which might not be easy given that I only work 5 hours per day and there are bound to be more pressing matters.

Remember, don't just wind the lights up as you're putting them away.

I didn't bother putting any up. I did consider putting up a bit of string to hang the two Christmas cards I received up but decided it wasn't worth the hassle.
