We don’t put ours up too early. Usually mid December but this year - this year was the 17th and they will be taken down on the 5th.
Ours go down on twelfth night or I'd get some sort of inherited Ossian curse from my wife. You should have heard the time I put n ice cube in my whiskey!
I hope she doesn't care how you spell whisky.:okay:

Yes I know it's the Irish stuff. xx(

We have mid December birthdays in the family so immediately after them the Xmas decorations go up. I grew up with 12th night they go down (one opinion had it that if you didn't take it down then you had to leave it up until Easter).

However my partner and kid wanted it all down today. It felt so wrong to me. Still, I've not had any bad luck yet so perhaps it'll be ok in the end

12th night. Have to say I'm shocked by the number of heathen hereabouts.

Another traditionalist here. The decorations get put up a week before Christmas and get cleared away on 12th Night.

Though this year I will probably take them down on the 5th. I'm stewarding at a cat show and will be gone all day and doubt I'll fancy doing that when I get back. Not that there's much here; a 2ft tree, a couple of cat-themed stockings and a string of fairy lights.
