Twice in a day???

Would you wear used kit for a second ride a few hours later?

Sorry, not a thread about nooky twice on a Sunday! Went out for a short ride this afternoon having been out this morning. Got into some cycling kit and went downstairs only to be met by a scowl from the wife. When asked, my wife was annoyed at the growing laundry pile and wondered why I couldn't use the kit from this morning. Now for me, using the kit from the morning was just wrong! What are your thoughts???

If it's dry (esp. your shorts) and doesn't give off an unpleasant aroma, then why not. Just powder your 'undercarriage' with talc to prevent chafing or sores.

Otherwise just tell her you have very few changes of gear and she might feel sorry for you and treat you to some more.

I did an hour this morning. That kit is hung at the window and will do another ride before washing.
My commute kit does 2 days, though in the Summer that is often reduced to 1.

Yes, because I would still be wearing it from the first time.

It's called commuting, 20 miles in kit; sweaty, wet, muddy etc. try as hard as you can to dry it out it's going back on in a few hours no matter what!

Commuting kit gets worn on two days (4 commutes) in autumn & winter. Spring and a summer it goes in the wash after one day.

Touring/long day rides the kit is washed after each ride.

I have no other choice when commuting by bike. However, I would not wear the same bibs over consequative days.
